WORLDLOPPET
MASTER
How to become a Worldloppet Member
and Master ?
Worldloppet (WL) is a union of the largest
cross-country ski races in the world, founded in 1978.
There are 14 races in WL at the present. WL has also about Worldloppet
Passport Holders;
1400 of them are recognised as the Worldloppet Gold.
To become a Worldloppet member, a skier has
to apply for a World-loppet passport.
The official WL passport contains a special page for each event
in the in the WL series.
After completing each main or short WL race, a skier should ask
for the official stamp
of the event to be placed in his/her WL passport.
After completing 10 of the 14 main or short
races (see Liens) and if the WL passport is
stamped correctly the skier should send his/her WL passport to the
Worldloppet General Secretariat.
The skier will then be awarded with the personal
Worldloppet Master's diploma and a gold or
silver plated pin. In addition, each Worldloppet Master will received
a special number.
